Uniform Motion and Non Uniform Motion
what is Uniform Motion?
a motion is said to be uniform in which an object travels in a straight line
and its velocity remains constant because it’s the cover equal distance in equal time.
some Example of Uniform Motion
- A bike is traveling along a straight level road at a steady speed.
- a pendulum is swinging in a to and fro motion.
- the motion of blades of a ceiling fan.
what is Non-Uniform Motion?
A motion is said to be a nonuniform motion in which an object travels with some variation in speed.
because it doesn’t cover the equal distance in equal time intervals.
few Examples of Non-Uniform Motion.
when bike travel in 20 meters in the first 5 seconds, and 40 meters in the next 5 seconds.
horse running is a nonuniform motion as it not constant.
the motion of asteroid is also considered as a nonuniform motion
cycle when going through a crowded area.
what is the difference Between the uniform motion and nonuniform motion
1 nonuniform when a body is in rectilinear motion then the motion of the body must be non zero
but when we talk about uniform motion it has zero acceleration.
2.in non-uniform motion the distance-time graph is curved but in uniform motion the graph is linear.
3.in non-uniform motion unequal distances are covered in equal time intervals.
but in uniform motion, equal distances are covered in an equal time interval
4. in non-uniform motion the average speed is different from the actual speed of the object. but in the case of uniform motion, the average is similar to the actual speed of the object.
